I am passionate about Scripture and the impact it can have on our lives! I continue to be amazed how he always knows the exact truths we need to hear.
My speaking style is scripture-centered and passionate, but with an unassuming, fun, and authentic approach. Although I enjoy discussing deep theology (I taught a systematic theology study with Young Life at The University of Texas for 9 years), my spiritual gifting is to teach scripture in a simple and personal way.
Some topics I have wrestled with personally and therefore enjoy speaking about are:
- Trust in uncertainty and change
- Settling in to the love God has for us
- Battling our flesh and taking hold of the spirit
- Asking forgiveness and accepting freedom
- Believing in God’s ability to do impossible things
- Fierce obedience
- Courage despite fear
- Intimacy with our Creator
- Hope in suffering
- Spiritual gifts and the way God has made us each unique
- Satan’s schemes to derail and distract us
- Loving people individually and without expectation
- Leading others in humility, strength, and love
- Identity in Christ and setting aside performing and people pleasing
And, of course, how the gospel is the center of all these things.
My hope when I speak is that people will feel known and loved, while also challenged and empowered to action.
Knowing and understanding an audience is very important to me, but that is not always possible, so I would love to hear from you about your people and how I can best serve them!
